Text Box: Hello and welcome! What a year: as well as writing my weekly column for The Land, I’ve taken garden tours to Scotland, New Zealand China and travelled round New South Wales giving garden lectures. At West Wyalong I took part in ‘Sweden in the West’, in Mudgee I talked to Australia Decorative & Fine Arts Society about differences between Chinese and Western garden design, and I’ve shared pictures and stories about my garden with local garden clubs. I have been writing on gardening for thirty years. My first article was about grey foliage plants and I was ecstatic when it was accepted by a major gardening magazine, Your Garden, then a Melbourne monthly. In 1995 I became The Land’s first full-time gardening writer. I have now written nearly a thousand columns for The Land and submitted as many photographs.
